One of the great things about working n the sports industry is that we get to meet so many amazing and inspirational people. Here, we profile those who we’re proud to have as official Hoops Connect partners.
The country’s number one 3×3 basketball tournament – a registered FIBA World Tour qualifier no less – we’ve been sold on the vision of Ball Out founder Julius Joseph ever since we first met him at the beginning of the year.
Especially our basketball-addict founder Jonas Urbonas.
“It’s a new idea, so it’s something that I take pride in pioneering throughout the country and trying to bring a new form of basketball forward,” Julius told Hoops back in April.
And after seeing the tournament in full-swing this summer, including the finals on August 12th, we know that Ball Out are onto something good.
Look out for small-scale sessions set-up by Ball Out on Hoops Connect, coming soon. Find out more about Ball Out here.
We're delighted to be sponsoring @BallOutUK this summer – & we'll be bringing you their story later today!

The first time we took Hoops on the road will always live long in the memory, and for that we have GoFest to thank.
Across their two summer festivals – one in Guildford, the other in Manchester – we saw first hand just how exciting a concept the guys have with their inclusive sports bonanza aimed at getting children and families trying as many sports as possible.
Could there be any more of a perfect fit with the Hoops philosophy?
Next year could see GoFest taken to even more locations, and if that’s the case, you can be sure that Hoops will be right there with them.
We’ll be announcing details of our partnership with GoFest going forwards soon. Find out more about the festival here.
We're here to bring you some more #exciting #news. We're going to be sponsoring the @gofestuk Festival at their #Manchester and #Surrey events this #summer, which we're really #happy about. For those who don't know about GoFest, they arrange festivals of #sport and #fitness activities to encourage #children and adults to get #active and try #new things. We can't think of anything that fits better with what we're trying to do here with Hoops! . 🎙️ We've interviewed the founder of GoFest – Paul Farris so you can get as excited as we are and get to know how the festival started and why it's taking UK by storm! . 📖 Check the #interview out @ hoopsapp.co/blog (LINK IN BIO)
Manchester Futsal Club
We’re a sucker for a sport on the rise here at Hoops, and not many fill that criteria better than Futsal.
In fact, “the modern-day street football” (as it was dubbed by MFC chairman Simon Wright) has been judged to be the fastest growing indoor sport in the world in recent times.
As you can imagine, we want a piece of that.
Our friendship with the guys over at MFC has only extended to social media and marketing collaborations so far, but plans are in place to really ramp up that relationship in the coming months. Watch this space.
We’ll have exciting news about our partnership with MFC coming ahead of the new Futsal season in October. Find out more about the club here.
The Anti-Gravity Revolution
Sometimes in business you come across somebody who genuinely wants to help you as much as he wants something back, and you know you’re onto a winner.
The fact that Ste Graham of The Anti-Gravity Revolution (TagRev for short) runs pioneering basketball camps makes us a perfect match.
The TagRev camps were offered at a discounted price on Hoops this year, and with Ste offering one-on-one sessions and personal training as well, you can bet that you’ll be seeing a lot more of him on the app in the coming months.
Ste will be putting his one-on-one sessions on the app soon, so keep an eye out! Find out more here.

When we met founder Paul Hildreth and played VX for the first time at GoFest, we fell in love a little bit.
Built from “a little lacrosse, a pinch of pelota, a dash of dodgeball and a hint of hockey”, it’s not like anything you’ll have seen before.
And that’s why we’re determined to help spread the word.
Paul came up with the sport almost by accident back in 2006, and has since worked tirelessly to get people playing – and boy has he done that, from schools across the country to World Cups featuring teams from Uganda to India!
VX is growing all the time. Keep your eye out for sessions on Hoops, and check their progress here.
